There are two moments worthwhile in writing, the one when you start and the other when you throw it in the waste-paper basket.

Testimonial:
"Steven has a way of presenting information regarding "Writing Your Passion Project" that is approachable, understandable, and inviting. I was able to obtain the necessary perspectives, general "rules," and styles of which a screenplay writer of today needs to have to have a chance of getting their story read. The best pieces of advice I came away with was,  "every page needs to be a page-turner" and  "write what you love, not what  you think Hollywood wants." So that's what I'm doing- writing a film about a subject matter that I enjoy where I leave the reader wanting more, at the bottom of each page."

Each class will have 10 students and will be 3 hours long. It will begin with 30 mins of lecture from Steve.  The remaining 2 1/2 hours will be divided up for the students to workshop script pages, which will be done, LIVE, with each writer casting their fellow classmates to play characters.  This “workshop-style” approach to teaching screenwriting was how Steve learned from his own mentor (an instructor from the UCLA Professionals Screenwriting Program). The vibe of the class will be casual, yet quite serious.  There'll be a positive, supportive energy in the room, along with honest discussions about the strengths and weaknesses of each writer’s work.  Since the classes will constitute a full 24 hours of time over the course of two months, you'll have the opportunity to receive detailed, intensive feedback from an acclaimed, working screenwriter on YOUR writing! Please take a look at the lecture topics below:
